This Vintage piece of a bullock with a man and heavy load is an Indian rural scenario. This sight is common at villages in India. Bullocks are the means of transport and used while farming. Nowadays tractors have replaced bullocks but at various places, these can be seen still. It sculpture is made of Brass with darkening due to genuine aging.
Bullocks hold an imperial position in Hindu Anecdotes. According to religious tales, Lord Shiva’s vehicle was a bullock name Nandi. He was Sacred. Nandi’s sculptures can be seen at the entrance of any Shiva Temple. Vayu Purana narrates, Nandi was the son of Kasyapa and Surabhi. Whereas in to Saura Purana, his look is beautifully mentioned. He provides music to Shiva at Tandav. Besides this, Nandi is also the chief of Ganas.
