Lal Baag Pichwai is Srinathji in the Red Garden.  This is a Pichwai painting of Srinathji in the Red Garden or otherwise called Lal Baag. Pichhwais are form of devotional pictures painted on cloth or paper which portray Lord Krishna. It was originally from Deccan, India, and went to the villages of Nathdwara in Rajasthan. The main purpose of these paintings was to narrate tales of Krishna to the illiterate. These are hung on the walls and that is why they are called Pichhwai in Sanskrit, ‘Pichh’ means back and ‘wais’ means hanging. There are normally large sized paintings and illustrates the life of Lord Krishna.
